The first in our "Crime Lounge Records" series. This collection of albums will all be compiled from the world of Easy-Listening/Lounge, Exotica etc. They will be put together as "mood music" collections hopefully evoking the mood or "Feel" suggested by their titles.
This volume entitled "Carry On in the Library!" has been culled from the world of Music Production Libraries such as kpm, DeWolfe, Chappell etc with a few also taken from Testcard albums. Consider this the soundtrack to a comedy film that was never made as it conjures up images of scantily clad "birds" being persued by lechurous old blokes!

Did I mention the sound? The best! Thanks again!
Rich
As my turntable is out of action at the moment and I need to sort out some other equipment all these are taken from CD so should sound nice and clean.
No doubt in time as I get things sorted I will be delving into my ever expanding vinyl archive to add further volumes to the collection.
Thanks for stopping by and for taking the time to leave a comment. I see they are proving popular by the downloads, maybe people are enjoyinh them too much to comment :)

Thank You!! Great music, great custom artwork, great blog!
Gotta give huge thanks for this stunning collection especially as I have been hunting for "Brazil Brazil" by Sam Fonteyn. When I was a youngster, our local fleapit cinema used to have a few animated text only clips for various announcements before the films such as "please move to the left of the auditorium if you wish to smoke" etc. One which grabbed my attention for several reasons was the "Cigarettes and Confectionary - available now at the kiosk" clip because of the catchy music. Now I know after all these years that music was Sam Fonteyn's Brazil Brazil". Many many thanks!

I do intend to add more eventually but don't know when just yet!
Stay Tuned!
I am listening to your Latin Lounge collection on cd right now...(has there every been a cooler piece of music than 'On days like these?')and just discovered these 3 collections - which all look superb. Great work. Thanks a million.
Thanks for the kind words derwent :)
Quincy Jones' "On Days Like These" is indeed a super cool masterpiece. Taken of course from the 1969 classic "The Italian Job", before Hollywood tarred its reputation by remaking it!
The original vocal version is a stunner too, by the incomparable Matt Monro.
Happy Listening!
P.S.
Not sure what will happen with these in future. I did intend to add more titles but am probably leaning towards replacing them with a different series altogether......we'll see!
@THXJay, I never knew there'd been a remake of The Italian Job. WHY??? Ha. Some things are just unbeatable. That film is one of them! And Matt Monro is one of my very favourite vocalists.
Best wishes with your future 'ideas'. I shall stay tuned.
Wonderful collection, just as the others in your series.
Let me just add for anybody else from West Germany that we knew these Carry On films under the "is ja irre..." label. Just in case there are other middle-aged Germans strolling around here (Didi? Roman?)
Just found this site. Thank you so much for all your work and all the enjoyment you're giving!
Isn't found, they say. A pity.
